报告摘要:Wearable sensors are integrated into wearable objects or directly with the body in order to help monitor health and/or provide clinically relevant data for care. These are small devices that provide real-time, in-field detection, analysis and often abolish the prerequisite for sample collection, preparation and lab-based analysis. Such novel devices rely on the judicious and intimate coupling of a biological/chemical recognition layer and a physical transducer (e.g. electrode). Our aim is to convert the selective chemical or biological recognition event into a useful electrical signal. In our work, various sensor platforms have been deployed and exhibited as a platform technology. We have been exploring the fundamental aspects of recognition and transduction events by characterizing and developing new coating materials and transducers. So far, we designed new microsensors called microneedle sensor for clinical diagnostics, environmental monitoring, security surveillance and for alcohol monitoring under the skin. We are also exploring the flexible and stretchable materials to formulate novel ink compositions for printing on different matrix. Several wearable devices have been developed which includes lab on a glove sensor for nerve agents and drug detection, tattoo biosensor for vapor phase chemical threats, bandage for cancer biomarker and textiles for organophosphates. We have also developed first small flexible electronic board enabled with SWV and amperometry with wireless data transmission capability. Such novel wearable sensors may pave the way for future personalized healthcare monitoring and lead to a hazzle free smart technology.
